As we look forward to celebrating Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 9th), check in and notice where you are with your relationship with your Mom.
Maybe you knew her, maybe not. Maybe it was a loving relationship, maybe not. Maybe she is still with you, maybe not. Maybe you are a mom and have all these same questions, maybe not.
Acknowledging that care you received is what is important on Mother’s Day.
Celebrating and gift giving is another way to show you care. If you want suggestions for your Mom, please contact me and we can chat to create the perfect selection that will remind her of your love and thoughtfulness for months to come.
True Jewels Perfume, soaps, moisturizing body bars are all terrific choices for your Mom.

Cutting Down on Your Toxic Load
Besides our boutique sourced, organic or wild grown essential oils used in all of our products, the bases that we use are just as important because they create the bulk of the product. Essential oils are extremely strong and must be used in a diluted state for safety and maximum effectiveness. This is not a case of where a little is good, a lot is better. The reverse is true!
Let’s talk about Botanical Oils
We use organic, minimally processed seed oils in all our products. They are cold pressed to facilitate absorption of essential oils. These cold pressed oils, which keep heat at a minimum (heat exposure creates rancidity in oils), are high in omegas.
What are omegas anyway?
Omegas are essential fatty acid nutrients that come from fish oils and plant oils such as macadamia, jojoba, grapeseed, sea buckthorn, squalane, argan, etc.
Omegas are found in foods we eat. They are also found in seed oils which are used on the skin. They have moisturizing and deep penetrating benefits to the skin.
Omega 3-(alpha linoleic acid) is found in fish oils and seed oils such as arnica, avocado, borage, camellia, hazelnut, hemp, rosehip, etc. It is great for depression, pain, and anxiety. Good for the heart and blood pressure, it fights inflammation when taken internally. Too much however, can elevate blood sugar.
For the skin, they are anti-aging, skin nourishing and collagen building.
Omega 6-(linoleic acid/gamma linoleic acid) reduces inflammation, supports the heart, brain and blood pressure.
For the skin, they are nourishing, moisturizing and stimulate hair and skin regeneration.
Omega 7-(palmatoleic acid) used internally, has anti-inflammatory effects. Fish oil also has the rare Omega 7 in it.
Macadamia, and sea buckthorn oils, are powerhouse seed oils filled with phytosterols, Vitamins C and E, and are excellent for skin healing, repairing, and anti-aging.
Omega 9-(oleic acid) found in camellia, carrot seed, cranberry, hazelnut, macadamia, moringa, rosehip and others, protect the skin, helps with inflammatory responses, softens and evens out the skin’s texture.
We use all these seed oils in our Dorey AromaTherapy products. Many other seed oils have additional benefits and are used specifically as needed. For example, borage oil supports the adrenals and cleanses the lymphatic system so we incorporate it into those formulas.
These are just a few of the ways that we want to support your journey for
-natural solutions for thriving.
Stay well and Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there!
