Vetiver is one of my favorite essential oils. I find the earthy, warm aroma both grounding and soothing. I love to use vetiver as a base for perfumery as well as in immune supportive blends because it is so atypical of what one thinks of for immune support-it doesn’t smell antiseptic! The essential oil comes from the roots not the grassy tops. I have seen pictures of a root system that is 12 feet long! Some of the best vetiver comes from Haiti.
Vetiver has a sweetness to it that blends well with citrus and florals. It is a skin supporter too.
